Just a quick video to show the activity beneath the composting material, lots of wriggly wiggly worms doing their thing.

I have thought so often about having a wormy composter… I love the thought of those little guys getting to work to make beautiful soil. You may have convinced me to take the plunge! :)

Do you have any advice about do-it-yourself activators? I live in the Middle East and can’t get commercial preparations. Does a yeast and sugar solution work best, or is there a better way to do it? I wish I could find worms when I look into my heaps – more usually there are cockroaches and woodlice!

We have plenty of poultry poop to really get our compost heaps heating up.
