Great job ! Humus in the making :)
I have thought so often about having a wormy composter… I love the thought of those little guys getting to work to make beautiful soil. You may have convinced me to take the plunge! :)
I bet that they were shivering when you removed their blanket.
I tucked them back in :)
Looking good
As a gardener I found that very interesting and useful, great video.
Earth worms are always a good sign in the garden :)
Good compost needs worms
Do you have any advice about do-it-yourself activators? I live in the Middle East and can’t get commercial preparations. Does a yeast and sugar solution work best, or is there a better way to do it? I wish I could find worms when I look into my heaps – more usually there are cockroaches and woodlice!
Some great advice can be found here http://www.veggiegardener.com/compost-activator/
We have plenty of poultry poop to really get our compost heaps heating up.
